Kaye’s friend, Mari, was going to have her ROM on the 6th of August and she wanted to get an ROM gift for the happy couple. Mari’s fiance (well, husband, now) is Finn, which as you can see gave the caricature a great headline :)

These were the two main pictures I worked from:

I had a lot of fun drawing Finn, but found it quite difficult to get Mari. I kind of regretted giving her such a large chin.

As for the pose, although Kaye provided many suggestions (e.g. in a car on a roadtrip to Malaysia, with their stuff toy Eeyore), I decided to just stick with one, which was that the couple enjoys wine-tasting.

Kaye dropped me a mail after the event to say that Mari loves the drawing, as does everyone who’s seen it. So I was quite relieved :)
