Lately I’ve been pretty obsessed with the singer Katy Perry. This, despite her fan base comprising almost entirely 12 and 13 year old tween girls. While she got famous (and A WHOLE LOT OF FLAK) for singing “I Kissed A Girl”, I think her other songs are much nicer, and urge you to go check out the music vids for her other singles, Hot N Cold, Thinking Of You, and most recently Waking Up In Vegas (I am fascinated with her chin and chin-butt). While she may not have the singing chops of Mariah Carey, I do enjoy her singing style and diction very much – sometimes raspy and sometimes sweet. And she does act quite naturally.

She puts on a ditzy front in interviews (which I enjoy!) but I get a sense she’s a really grounded, driven, and genuine person underneath it all. Plus she has a really twisted sense of humour. Actually, her personality reminds me a lot of Alyson Hannigan (another celeb crush I have – that’s Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Which reminds me, gotta draw her some day!

So I just did a quick sketch of her to relieve my pressing desire to draw her chin. Will probably do a nicer one when I have more time :)
