“My colleague Aga will be sending you the reference pictures tonight/tomorrow. The couple you will be drawing are Sneha and Shiv.”
Thus started this most Mission Impossible-like caricature brief.

I managed to read the following before the email self-destructed deleted:
“Overall, we wanted to picture both of them wearing Indian clothes with the topic of the drawing being ‘Bollywood!’. Think about all the energy, positive vibes and that ‘Indian craziness & happiness’ that Bollywood movies are famous for – we would like to bring some of it to the caricature, if possible ;)”
Actually I was a bit worried about being able to depict all that, but I figured the best I could do was draw Sneha and Shiv in interesting poses and just add lots of people imitating them in a mass-dance like fashion.
(The whole “dancing round a tree” thing is a bit too typical I think, maybe to the point of being offensive? Plus, I didn’t manage to find one picture of an Indian movie couple doing that!)
I felt like I could’ve drawn the lady much better, more emphasis on the nose rather than the cheeks… Oh well!

Sneha was pleasantly surprised by the gift. She loved it to bits :P
Great job girl!
p.s. can you send me your account number again? It self-destructed.
