caricatures for everyone!
A Burger King Family
Categories: Requests

not often you find a family of 6 these days right?

Jane (top left) was leaving Burger King Singapore and her colleagues wanted a farewell gift for her. I was engaged to draw a black and white caricature of this very sweet family of six.

what they really look like

Since I was asked to do the drawing on the specific Burger King-cum-Singapore landmarks background, which came as a jpg, I decided to do the entire caricature digitally (I have a tablet PC so I can draw directly on its screen).

This was my first time drawing children, which I realise has its own set of rules. For one, you can’t draw the usual facial characteristics that you see in adults like under-eye lines (not even eye bags but just the natural pads of fat that push your eyes up when you smile) and naso-labial folds (sounds dirty, but really they’re the lines connecting your nose to the sides of your mouth) because it makes the children look old.
